Right guys,
I had a problem with my 0.8kw spindle so I contacted the online seller and was sent a new one… I just took it out of the box and whilst there appears to be no run out, there is an audible bearing noise when I spin the collet. Problem is I cannot remember if the original spindle made an audible noise when I span it… I would assume that the supposedly ‘high quality’ german bearings would be almost noiseless when spun by hand, but I am worried I am just overthinking things. What do you guys with similar 0.8kw air cooled spindles think? Are my bearings dead… have I been sent another dud!?
