Should I turn off the power to to X controller when switching bits for a 2 stage carve?
Easel will give you the option to lock the motors when switching bits on a 2 stage carve so that x,y doesn’t move
If you turn the power off there is nothing to keep the router from moving never turn the power off to change bits you will loose your x and y zero.
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
Unless its the xcarve pro and you’re following the manual provided which says specifically to turn it off and unplug it from the wall before every bit swap
@Michael,
So long as you alter the dip switches and set $1 to 255 (see vido) you’ll want to keep power on and NOT use lock/unlock steppers buttons…
The gantry will hold itself in position.
