20"x 24" project.... Lots of text.... Will plywood work?

Howdy… I have a friend that wants to have a poem carved. Lots of text. I did a test carve on MDF … 20 x 24… and the letters carved fine. How good does plywood carve with small letters… about 1/2" high . If this doesn’t work… should I do a lamination glue up?

I’d use a Down cut Endmill for plywood. Prevents tear out.
