Has there been any discussion about developing a 3D profile generator for Easel?

It would be nice, especially given the number of places on this site it talks about Easel and 3D carving.
E.g., big text on the Easel page says “3D Carving Made Easy”

If only to have some way to soften the edge of what you are carving.
