7W JTech vs 6W OptLaser

I have a 1000mm X-Carve that I am wanting to add a laser to. My primary missions would be engraving plastic, wood and painted aluminum and also cutting acrylic and think wood. I have absolutely no experience with using a laser at all. I have been doing some homework, but I thought it best to put the question to those of you who are already using this equipment. How do they compare not only in power and ability, but also in terms of customer service and tech support? The OPT seems to be a much more well-made unit, but has less power. Tech is in the USA and OPT is in Poland, is that a concern ?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated,

I am also having the same questions. Is one better then the other? Someone on here must have an opinion.

What do you care most about?
With this 6W or 7W is a longer topic haha

I went Jtech 7W, basically bc they were right around the corner and picked my laser up that same day.
things I wish I knew before:
IT WON’T CUT THRU WOOD! period.
you won’t use easel, they recommend lightburn (set some money apart for licensing) and that software isn’t the best-in-class on ease of use.
