These are a couple of clocks I recently did. The NPS clock was done with a combo of 1/4", 1/8", and .040" bits. It’s made from Black Locust about 1.5" thick. I sanded all the tool marks out of the NPS clock but after staining they were visible again. I guess I’ve got some more work to do with regard to my sanding skills. They are a little less apparent than the picture would have you believe so it still looks good hanging on the wall. The Great Lakes clock is made with a combo of .040" and .005" bits. I don’t know what kind of wood it is.Both were painted, stained, then finished with tung oil.
