An easy way to keep small parts in place

I use self-stick tiles as a sacrificial layer on the back of the part (Baltic Birch plywood.) It keeps the parts in place, but they’re easy to pop loose. It’s $.38 sq. ft. at our local big box. (Get the cheap stuff; it’s flatter. Plus, you don’t want it to stick that well.)
