how big are your clocks? or should I say whats a good size for one

Some of my products, it’s been a while I’m not carving any. But I did sell about 10 different style. (I’m two months behind again :slight_smile: )

I did the dish on this one. With the flat spot to hols the nut. I have not had a problem with out the flat spot though so I am not sure it is needed. I think the detail works better on a flat surface, I guess I could have gone deeper and used a long shaft mechanism.

Max depth was a bout .25 and that just has clear on it.

Try cherry as well, it is my favorite hardwood for 3d carves.

Sorry, bud. That’s the diff between real hard wood and poplar. Use Titebond II or III for edge gluing your panels together. The bond will be stronger than the wood itself. Don’t mess with biscuits or anything. If you’re buying S4S from the big box store, the edge should be good enough for the seam to disappear.

I almost always send v-carve toolpaths twice…it makes a huge difference and really cleans the cut nicely.

How big do you make this stencil? Is the OD the same as the outer edge of the material you are carving, or is it bigger or smaller? if so, How much bigger or smaller?
