Anyone tried making a picture frame?

I have an idea on how to do it. But has anyone tried it?

My thoughts on how to do it:

Get 4 pieces of wood and use the glue trick to attach them to the waste board. Then set up the carving to do a edge line and cut the angles to make the frame.

Ideas?
