Here is a epoxy resin inlay project I just recently completed for a client. The project started out with an old pine workbench the client wanted to use for a rolling bar. Using traditional handtools and methods I flattened out the top in preparation for the inlay carve. I coated the inside of the carve with resin and waited for the it to cure before pouring my final inlay. I poured a bit to much resin so it took a bit of work to get the inlay flat to the table again but it worked out well. Stained the wood darker per the client request which came out pretty cool.
