Bit snapped didn't raise high enough

Hi, recently was cutting a design in wood and the bit didn’t raise high enough causing it to drag across the cutting surface and snap off. I am not sure why this happened it was almost half way through the job. Is their a way to set the height in which the bit raises when it goes to another point to begin cutting?

Under the “Advanced” section if the “Machine” menu. You are able to set your retract height.

Did the job have several instances where the bit raised up to move to another area? You might want to check that the Z axis belt is tightened. If you pinch the belt inbetween the pulleys, it should be tight enough that you can’t make your fingers touch.
