Hey guys (and gals), new to the x carve but not cnc. Quick question about bits… these spiral upcut, downcut etc… are these special “router” bits, or are these actually a standard cnc endmill like for a big boy milling machine? Some of these prices I’m seeing seem a bit crazy compared to my local machine tool shop. Could I just go pick up an endmill from there and use that?
Yes. The only difference that I’ve seen is that Inventables color codes them so that they’re easier to select in Easel.
