Bits - Drill - End Mills - Ball Nose - Shank Diameter

Dear community,

I have ordered an X-carve.

I am wondering what shank diameter the drills can have, is 1/4 also okay?

I want to get ball nose bits for carving organic shapes from HDPE.

Would these be okay? Will they fit on the X-Carve shank-wise?

The standard xcarve currently uses a makita router, which comes with a 1/4" collet.

So the bits you have listed there will work.

However There are also other size collets available and I reccomend purchasing the 1/8" collet and 1/8" shafted bits when possible, youll save a bunch of $ over buying smaller cutter sizes with 1/4" shafts.
