Calibrating X-Carve's Height

So after a little over a year of cutting, I finally noticed that it seems that my X-Carve cuts deeper on the front right side. I’ve made sure that the V-wheels are not overtightened and are engaged properly, so I’m thinking now how to adjust this so that my horizontal cuts will be horizontal to the bed.

Any suggestions on where I should start?

Add 2nd layer of spoil board (may be smaller than original but large enough for what you wish to carve).
Do a “skim cut” of this 2nd layer, this will maximize the relative Z-accuracy

Sounds like a good idea! I was hoping to adjust the rail itself though since this means I’m going to lose some maximum height/depth and I’ll need to make a subsurface each time I carve… or I have to sacrifice the existing waste board which I’m not ready to do.

Im pretty new with the xcarve. How do you skim the work surface?
