I need to cut a small piece from a sheet of 1/8" stainless steel. Can the X Carve do that? If so, what drill would I use?
The main issue with cutting steel is the rpm range of the routers used on the xcarve and the minimum rpm is simply too fast for proper steel cutters. If you have a spindle capable of slower speeds then cutting steel would be easier… many people also use a lubrication system so you may also want to look into that…
