Carvey for acrylic LED signs

I’m thinking about getting a Carvey to engrave acrylic LED signs that are bottom lit and kind of cool. I would need to use 1/8 inch acrylic and some places and going to deep in others. A friend of mine has an x carve and I realized it’s not 100% level. What would you think. It’s either a Carvey or a laser engraver.
Thank you and Merry Christmas to everyone.

I have a Carvey and a Glowforge laser, and I admit, I like the acrylic on the laser far more than the CNC. It’s faster, and my results when de-focusing the camera a bit is usually much smoother. But it also does depend on what you’re hoping to do on the acrylic.
