My goal was understanding how hard would it be to create my own basic 3D design with open source software, and seeing how efficient would be to carve it using the Easel 3D capabilities. The bread barge was carved as three different workpieces: one for each side (top and bottom) and one more for the text on the base. To create the 3D file I used Blender (blender.org). The material was square pine stock glued together, and I used the painter’s tape method to clamp the stock to the wasteboard.
