So Ive just begun carving with my rotary took, i have the proper bits and all, but im curiosity as to how to treat petrified wood? Im doing raised letters, and the wood/stone is really light almost white. Is there a recommended way to cure or treat it, it bring rather flakey. And should it be done before or after painting.?
