Changing router path direction

Hey folks! Does anyone know how to change the direction of travel the router will go? For example, if cutting a circle, the machine travels in a counterclockwise motion while the routers spindle is spinning clockwise. Almost like drilling a hole with the drill in the “reverse” mode. I’m finding its not very efficient and caused the blade to bite and bounce almost causing major damage. Any ideas or is this even possible?

That is called climb cutting and will give the best results in most cases.
The bouncing sounds like a mechanical problem or too aggressive cutting.
