@AngusMcleod it's good to have you back buddy.
@BrianSaban I updated Level 3 to include any kind of electronics implementation. @jdm is the judge but the spirit is if you come up with something interesting it counts.
Two points of clarification:
If you are a teacher that wants to do this challenge with your students you are allowed to combine the gift certificates the students earn into one big certificate that the school can use to either buy a machine or use the earnings as a discount towards a machine or supplies.
You can submit to level 1 and later come back and upgrade your entry to level 2, 3, and or 4. The rewards stack so if you get to level 3 you keep the reward from level 1 and 2.
Quick update on the contest. We launched a Fidget Spinner kit that includes some material and bearings for $20.
Nice kit, Ordered. Thank you.
Wow that was fast! We've sold 4 since I posted this.
Make that 5 =)

So this little guy arrived today! Have been thinking of an easier way to do the on/off mechanism only when the fidget spinner is spinning and this guy should simplify the process (in theory). Any guesses of what it is?
Fast Vibration Sensor Switch...
Very close, it's a medium vibration sensor switch, I thought the fast would be a little to sensitive.
Same idea, but works with a spring instead of mercury
Yea. Life used to be so simple, albeit less safe???
I can always paint the spinner with some lead paint if it'll help the childhood memories
That's easy. It's, it's, it's, it's, uh, uh, . . . . . . .
You guys crack me up. Has anyone worked on a digital design yet? You can post the digital design and then improve your entry as you get more advanced.
