Community Prop Build Brainstorm

@SeanKeplinger has agreed to lead us in a community prop build.

The first step is to brainstorm what we want to make. Once we figure that out he will walk us through the process.

Please post your ideas below.

Thanks @Zach_Kaplan – I’m excited to help out!

I’ve built pistols, rifles, space guns, knives, swords, axes, and hatchets. I’ve also built some crazy one-off stuff like loot boxes from Destiny and a ray gun from a Korean pop-music video. Everything is fair game!

I’ll help with the design – how to build it with the X-Carve, and then share files so we can all play along.

Please post pictures if you can find them so we can all vsualize what we’re talking about here.

Once we collect enough I’ll set up a poll.

This one is a bit obscure, but it would be a neat build. It’s Nox’s sword from Wakfu.

I thought that might be a weapon from Star Trek but I didn’t remember the Vulcans being so violent. I looked it up and it was manufactured by GE and currently by General Dynamics.

General Dynamics always makes me think of Veridan Dynamics from Better of Ted.

@DamnitJim any favorites from Star Trek?

Revenge of the nerds? :joy:

Sorry couldn’t resist. :sunglasses:
I do have a liberal amount of reference pictures of this gun:

Taken at my work when Rogue One came out. I guess it would be right up Sean’s alley.

Where do you work? @anon68752607?

If I was to pick one, the Klingon Disruptor looks like it would be found on the side of a pirate:

In the Broken Bow Incident of 2151, the Klingon courier Klaang used his disruptor in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, on Earth. In that case, Klaang’s disruptor was utilized to destroy a corn silo housing two Suliban agents.
