Counterbore/hole in fill

I suspect I’m missing something obvious, but I’m stumped.

I’ve made several projects which require a counterbored hole, or a recessed lip around a large hole. I can’t figure out how to do this in a single project in easel.

An example would be a 2.2" hole completely through a .75" piece, surrounded by a 2.4" diameter recessed lip. When I draw the lip I wind up erasing my through hole. My solution has been to make two projects which I cut one after the other on the same setup.

Is there an easier way to do this?

I’ve not tried this myself but if you take the 2.4" circle and put it to the depth you want then add a 2.2" circle in the center, put the cut depth at 0" and then select both circles and go to Edit -> Combine it may do what you want.

Use Center for the position to get alignment.

The hole that’s ‘through’ has to be in ‘front’ of the other hole.
