Cutting thick wood

I have 2 projects I’ll be working on with thicker wood. 1 project is 1" thick the other 1.5" at a minimum. What bit has been used by others in this community to carve in that thickness? I’m having trouble finding anything. These will be cutting the outside edges of both projects.

If you can’t get a bit to make the cut and have the z lift height needed then you could do a partial cut, trim with a saw (band saw or jig saw) and then use a router with a pattern bit to trim it to match the cncd shape…

Understood. Possible with 1 project not with the other. Maybe reduce the thickness some. Thanks.
