On the Detailed Preview, can we make it so that we can change the center point of zooming in and or angling the view?
Have you tried using the shift key or the ctrl key while zooming in or out or moving it around…that should do it if Im thinking the same as you.

This isn’t exactly what you’re asking for, but if you hold shift and drag, it’ll pan the preview so you can zoom in on parts other than the center:
