I just want to make sure I am reading this correctly. Is the wire that runs inside the dewalt 611 router power cable 18 ga?

means 18 gauge, 2 conductor “SJ type” power cord, 8 feet in length. The SJ means that it is a stranded, flexible portable service power cord (the “S”), rated for up to 300 watts (the “J” for Junior service).
You can use SJ, SJO, SJOW, SJOOW power cord. (O= Oil Resistant Outer Jacket, OO = Oil resistant Inner and Outer Jacket, W = Weather resistant)
