Will the Dewalt 616 router fit the X_Carve, or is there an adapter for it to work ?
I seriously doubt it. I’m using a Makita RT0701C with a Shim that I designed but the Dewalt looks to have a considerably larger diameter. Plus it looks to weight about 3lbs more. I would think that would be too much weight for the xcarve.

It won’t directly fit, the diameter is too large for the standard mounts — folks have made worked up mounts which work — the big advantage to it is that it affords one access to 1/2" collets, and the added mass dampens vibrations and so forth. On the downside the added diameter and the endmill being further out increases lever effects.
