Ok i am getting this message to use the warp text plug in, and cant find anywhere it shows how to convert text . Please help, Im sure it is simple.
Yes it is pretty simple to do. Create a circle or a square somewhere outside of the design and set the depth to zero. Then ctrl-click that shape and your shape and combine the two. Your original text should look the same, but it will now be a “path” instead of text. Then you can use the warp text plugin.
NOTE: once you do this your text will not be editable anymore.
