I am setting up a two stage carve and the drill holes on one side cut fine if I choose the 1/8 bit - as soon as I add the detail bit (60 degree) - the holes want to cut with that bit! How do I fix this?
Place all of the things that you want to only cut with a 1/8" bit on a separate workpiece and remove them from the workpiece with the V-Carving.

if you needed a visual to grasp exactly what Brandon meant with the text version here, in this video I use a Vbit for the Stars only, and use a different workpeice for the stripes and a 3rd for the perimeter cut. By using multiple workpieces you can choose which bit us used for which design element(s)
