I was using my X-Carve Pro to mill a piece even. The high side was 135mm and the low side was 74mm. As you could imagine, this created large amounts of large pieces of debris. My suction side of the dust collection with cyclone separator did not have issue. The stock collect ring clogged very easily and had the potential to pull down the router speed to a stall. The second problem was with the static height, I had to pause to lower it repeatedly. Has anyone redesigned the stock collection ring to allow for suction of larger materials?
There’s definitely some examples on the forums. There’s also two for sale here:
Thank you!
Be nice if there was a video out there seeing the XCarve Pro Dust Boot in action
David, when carving into a “round” like that, as I have many, do I set my xy-zero to be about the lower left corner, or should I change my thinking, and make it the center of the round?
