Has anyone had problems inserting the clear plastic dust shoe into the dust shoe support arm brackets? I can insert 1 side with ease, but when I attempt to insert the other side, it takes just about all of my strength to get it into the bracket so that it will snap into place. Maybe one of the arms is bent slightly and I should return it?
I hear ya, I’ve fought mine from time to time.
What works best for my purposes is to leave both brackets “loose” when I insert the dust shoe.
That should allow you some “give” when inserting.

Hi John, I’m having the same issue with mine. I also had 3 of the magnets in the dust shoe pop off. I’ve super glued them back but that still hasn’t resolved my issue.
You all should contact Inventables.
The shoe should slide in and out easily.
