Engrave left lots of path lines

So I made a project on 1/2” Poplar and ran into a few issues.

After engraving the fill of this logo with a 90 degree v bit, it left lots of path lines throughout the engraved surface.

Secondly, it created dimples on some of the letters. See the back of the E for example.

Lastly, is there a way to cut out something as fast as a v bit, but without the beveled edge from the bit?

Did you run a finishing pass?
Have you squared your machine?

What program was used?
Easel Pro (trial)

What was your step over?
I didn’t see this setting. Does it go by something different on Easel?

Did you run a finishing pass?
No. I used a 90 degree v bit thinking that was the best possible but for smooth surfacing.

Have you squared your machine?
I have squared the spindle mount to the table.

It was Easel Pro and I used a 90 degree v bit.

And still they want to charge for it…

Second Phil - Easel has its advantages and disadvantages…Yes pro costs money and there are some bugs, but @Zach_Kaplan & Inventables has a rock solid team and will work through them as long as we make them aware of the issues in a positive manner. Hang in there!

You pay for for it. Not beta test. The bugs outweigh the positives it seems.

True, true - not trying to down play the issues just trying to be optimistic

I just wonder if there is something I can do to make the file project run better. I would be able to sell a dozen of these if I can get the settings altered to not leave these grooves.
