I have an stl file that has some very small detail(lettering) in the center. Is there a way to V Bit carve onto an stl file?
I ONLY use easel pro.
I’m not at all familiar with carving stl files.
As you can see in the attached file, the center(The State of Georgia Seal) has some very small lettering.
This lettering being so small, I’m told would be quite fragile if 3D carved so the file was created for these words to be v bit carved or even 1/16 ball nose bit carved.
I’ve been told that there should be a way(in Easelpro) for me to select this part of the stl file and only engrave these words some how.
Any help is appreciated.
I am not a regular easel pro user, so maybe there is a better way, but I would take that center section and make a separate file for a high angle v bit and play with it on scrap until it comes out to your liking. I’d do it in 2.5D instead of 3 D, changing the STL to a DXF.

I never really used a bit that acute as the jobs never called for it. YMMV
I think the material choice would be critical too, like basswood or something that won’t explode from the tiny detail.
