Excentric spacers vs nuts

Why would I upgrade to excentric spacers?
I’ll guess I would need longer screws and locking nuts, but is it any difference in justing the wheels?
Please give some pros and cons :slightly_smiling_face:

some have experienced the eccentric nuts backing off when the machine is moving back and forth. this is due to the forces of movement against the nut as this has no locking force. the nylon lock nut tends to stay in position against these forces.

Jepp, I can see that. Better locking and the excentric spacer stays in place🙂
What is the recommended screw length when using spacers and locking nuts?

off the top of my head I believe that I used the 35mm by M5 button head screws for both of mine. I can check if needed.

I swapped mine out for eccentric spacers about a year ago. Prior to that I was adjusting them on a regular basis. Once I did the swap I have not had to mess with them at all in a year. I check them occasionally, but they do not move/loosen anymore.

Thnx a lot for very good answers!
I’m convinced!
I will order eccentric spacers, longer M5 screws (35mm) and M5 locking nuts at once😄
