How about before running the carve we get a option to run the frame of the cut. Right before running the job the machine lowers to just above the material (3mm) and goes kinda fast (20-50mm/s) around the outline of the project (a frame) so we can see visually that there is enough material and that none of the clamps will be in the way before we begin cutting.
