Looking to reproduce a plastic automotive panel (with flat acrylic sheet). Too big to trace and put in a photocopier to create a PDF to image-trace. Approximate size is 12 by 30. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Could you lay the panel on a big piece of paper and use a sharpie to trace it?
Then use your cell phone to take a picture and import the picture into your software.
Set your phone on a box or something stable when you take the picture so the picture will be square.

I can easily trace with a Sharpie. That was my concern. Keeping camera positioned appropriately. This part needs to be exact size. Thanks.
