Im currently using a two part glaze that leaves a great shine but is hard to work with. Does anybody have any suggestion on what to use to give my etching a very glossy finish
Is it going to be handled much? Do you have a lot of patience and time to slowly build up the layers over a few days? What is the item? It sounds like you’re currently using epoxy? I think French polish would give you a similar shiny look. But it’s best for items that will not be handled much, as it can be somewhat “soft” and will take bruising over time. Also, it will colour the wood. And for a proper smooth finish, you’ll need to fill any holes/carves/etc. But it’s a lovely gloss.
