Having issues with the combine feature

Hey guys, question here.

Trying to make a flag however I am running into issues when I combine the images. I was hoping that the marine logo would come to the front of the flag removing the stripes behind it, however the exact opposite is happening.

Here is the link to my project. Can someone give me a hand with what I am doing wrong and teach me?

You are only cutting the red stripes. The white stripes are uncut. Nothing can be “above” uncut wood. Does that make sense?
If you throw a arectangle behind it all to cut the white stripes, then raise the logo to the top, I think you’ll get something closer.
That said, I’d start with a crisper flag…the stars looked wonky.
