I have bought a CNC 3018 pro to do some little projects for myself and at the same time start learning about this new world (for me).
I have set up the machine and made it work with easel, but i have 2 issue
all my design are doubled when carved example, my deisgn on easel is 100mm x 50mm dept 0,4mm but when carving the outcome is 200mm x 100mm x0.8 of dept. I think is a value on the controller that i need to adjust but have no idea on which one it is.
my bits break easely, I know i’m learning and that i will break many of those, but if i use a small bit it brakes, if i use a large one i hear the spindle that is under stress.
Could my 2 problem be connected to the first one as may be doubling the measuraments the carving setting become wrong?

Yes, your steps per millimeter values need to be adjusted. These are
$100=314.960 (x, step/mm)
$101=314.960 (y, step/mm)
$102=78.740 (z, step/mm)
Your bits breaking may be because of your first issue. It makes your carve run twice as fast as it should, and it makes the bit cut too deep per pass.
