What is causing my text to carve backwards?
Your X-axis is moving the wrong direction, either change direction is software (machine setup / GRBL code) or swap the leads on one of the X-motor wire pairs
I had this and I had to swap the x and y wires where they attached to the driver board. Remove the 2 x wires, remove the 2 y wires. Put the 2 x wires where the y wires were and put the 2 y wires where the x wires were.
Easel does it without removing anything. Go to Machine setup, if any axis running wrong direction tell to change direction. Changes Grbl setting.
i want to thank you all. i did find the problem. i had the wires crossed. now its working like it should be. im going to go make some saw dust.
