Re- enforcing the Y axis was my first upgrade. My chatter was gone. The design also helped contain the wood chip while cutting.

Since then I’ve raised the Z 1” and put a linear Z axis on the machine. Adding the linear Z axis was the second best modification I’ve made.

I’m going to take the carriage apart and take the z apart and clean it good then put back together, if there are no issues with any parts obviously.
