Not sure why homing fails. When I go to Machine Inspector, all switches show functionality. When I jog machine, everything moves fine. Nothing in the way. Z moves up, engaging switch before the hard stop. When I try homing machine, it moves Z axis up, presses switch, then reads as “homing failed.”
When I erase the existing machine and go to set up a new one… I select “enable homing” and then it does nothing. Seems like an Easel problem? Or the X Controller.
Usually in a case when I’m having problems like this, I need to back out of my work and restart the computer and stuff to get it going refreshed. Usually I am able to go weeks without any problems and when I start to have issues I will restart (reset) all and proceed as normal. As a note, I usually do not shut down my computer.
