@RobertA_Rieke, great video on X-Carve stepper motor calibration. I think this is just what I need to do for my z-axis motor. I set it up for the right screw, but cutting depth of .25 ended up being more like .21. One question for this, I have read in other threads that changing safety height and step over values in the advanced settings is project specific. I’m assuming these calibration values through the machine inspector are not and will stay saved between projects?
Thanks, I’m glad it helped you! To the best of my knowledge, the safety height and machine inspector settings are stored in the arduino, and any changes you make are permanent until you change them again.
