I give up, how do you install ugcs in windows 10?

I’m a Linux user and don’t like Window$ much. However it seems the programs I want to run need to be in Window$. When I download and extract Universal G Code Sender and click on the window$ part all I get is a little black box for a split second and nothing happens. I have Easel working fine as well as chilliPeppr, but need to work off line. What am I doing wrong? I can’t find anyone else with the same problem, it must be my Linux mentality lol. Thanks for any help.

This doesn’t help with technical aspect of it, but you can actually use Easel full bore offline. You will need to load it with the internet, but you can keep the browser open and use Easel without internet (changes won’t be saved though…)

Download version 2 (nightly build) from here

Be sure you have JAVA installed https://java.com/en/download/

To run simply unzip the .zip file and double click the .jar file. If the JAR file does not start it correctly you will need to run the BAT file that is included in the ZIP file.
