Does this upgrade warrant the expense?

I think the biggest upgrade is the one piece x extrusion… so to me, it isn’t worth it… I ordered a 40x40 from open builds a while ago and it has worked nicely for me…

If you have the cash then yes. The new extrusion I well worth it. And the X controller is a nice upgrade, each motor on it’s own chip and less overhear and current issues - you won’t regret it.
If cash is tight then just do the new extrusion.
(I also recommend replacing the eccentric nuts with eccentric spacers and lock nuts.)
