Jumpy circle cuts - new machine set up

Hello,

I recently set up my machine and had some test cuts go awry. I realized the the y1 cable was being pulled out of the sockets at certain locations. Took all the cables out and organized them to maximize the y1 length. That no longer happens.

Now, when I cut a circle, the path is really choppy/jumpy. I’m using a 1/8" double flute straight end bit in white oak. Any idea what could be causing this?

It looks like your machine isnt properøy tight/firm allowing the bit to jump around due to the cutting forces. Does it behave the same when you go less deep per pass?

Sometimes that happens if you go to deep and looking close the bites are on one side. Might be from the rotation of the bit. Does it repeat itself with the same settings in a softer wood? Stiffening your rails can help as well.
