Keeping centers for letter and numbers

I am cutting aluminum and MDF.
The numbers 0176 is awesome, until you lose the center of the 0 and the “o” of the 6.
Also, 15764, the same issue with the 6 and the 4.

Is there a font which keeps the centers intact when doing a full cut through?

Is there an easy secret to making this happen in the carve?

Make a small rectangle to connect those centers.
Place it where you want it and select them both and combine.

Mark, I have tried that, and haven’t had any luck.

I’ll try again and log the steps I do and see where I’m going wrong tomorrow.

see attached, like Mark suggested create a small 0 depth rectangle and combine
