I am planning to order components for a 700x800mm x-carve (I do not have the space for a 1000x1000mm kit). Since I live in Sweden I am tempted to buy all the rails here in Europe and make my own waste board. However, I noticed that the makerslides of the x-carve are black (are they anodized?), while the ones I can get over here are clear. Are there any major technical drawbacks with the clear makerslides compared to the black ones?
There is no major difference. Both clear and black are anodized.
