Very Nice! What kind of wood? It works perfect with that eagle.

In all honesty I think with that grain, I would have forgone the black (stain?)
But then, perhaps the picture doesnt do it justice.
Very nice either way.

Phil - great stuff again. This needs a Super Like!!!

Great post. This has to be one of the nicest pieces I have seen. Really fantastic.

That is so much smaller than I assumed that it was, LoL. I was expecting something closer to 30" across.

Awesome.

Did you create the eagle or was it an stl?

Is that where you got the eagle from? I got an idea for something I could make with that for a WW2 vet I know.

What did you use for the glaze?

I was watching the CNC with Dave show on Saturday night and the topic was finishing the project… all I could think about is that @PhilJohnson should be on this one.

Great work man.

I was only making a personal observation, not a criticism.
You are the ultimate judge of what is right with your work, and you are correct, the glaze does show off the small details.

I also thought it was larger across than what was really the case.
But that lucky grain hit… Dang!

Phil, Will you ever stop playing and start working? Exquisitely done.
I nearly broke the screen in my effort to prevent the eagle from flying away.(Ha ha)
Greetings from Dark Africa.
