Spent some time this morning experimenting with some 3D carves derived from OpenSCAD generated STL files. Pretty happy with the output.
The 1st one is a test of a recent design someone posted that was for a lid-pull - a semi-spherical cut. The 2nd one is a test of a flattened and tapered cylinder, similar to what I’d need for a guitar neck.
I need to refine my Moto settings and reduce the stepover distance, but overall I’m happy with this workflow. It let’s me convert something I see i my head into wood.
