Hey Cool Kids,
One of my Y Motors was failing to move. I checked wiring and that was tight. I then swapped out the motor as I had a spare from my 2nd machine.
The motor engaged as I have the dip switches on lock mode. When I clicked to move the machine an inch the right Y moved and the left motor seemed jammed but moved like a 1/4 inch, turn, turn, turn… then zap and smoke from the xcontroller. Turned it all off. Then turned on. Green lights blinking and another puff of smoke from the power supply area. I assume that it shot obviously. Will be contacting support in the morning. Thoughts on the series of events and the assumption the powersupply was failing to cause the issue to begin with?
